Description
Yewfield Farm Cottages, originally a farmhouse, date from the late 18th century with early 19th century additions and minor 20th century alterations. The building is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with brick gable stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high with a three-bay front that includes a first-floor band. The first floor, which has a brick dentillated eaves course, was raised in the 19th century. The central entrance features a half-glazed door from the 20th century, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows beneath segmental heads. On the first floor, there is a small off-centre four-pane casement window, also flanked by single glazing bar sashes at the eaves. The gable end reveals the earlier, lower roof pitch from the 18th century.
