Description

Yew Tree Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn complex dating from the mid to late 18th century and early 19th century. The late 18th century house is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof. It has a left gable red brick stack and dentil eaves. The building is two storeys high with three bays. The central doorway has a panelled door with a glazing bar overlight. On either side of the doorway are single tripartite sash windows set under segmental arches. Above the door are two similar sashes with a smaller central sash.

Attached to the right of the house is a taller mid-18th century red brick wing, also with a pantile roof. This wing has brick coped gables with kneelers and a left external red brick gable stack, as well as dentil eaves. It is two storeys high with two bays and has altered openings. Projecting from the left side is a red brick turret with a flat roof. To the right of the wing is a single segmental arched tripartite glazing bar casement, with a larger tripartite casement above it.

To the right of the farmhouse is a 19th century red brick barn that is one and a half storeys high, featuring a hipped pantile roof. It also has dentil eaves and includes a large carriageway. On the first floor to the right, there is a single wooden slatted opening with an overlight.
