Description
No. 10 Overgate Road is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with some minor modifications from the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar dressings and quoins. It has a pantile roof with a single raised stone coped gable, two gable stacks, and a single ridge stack, two of which have ashlar bases and all of which have brick stacks.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-bay front. The entrance is an off-centre flush panel door with a bordered overlight. To the right of the door is a single three-light timber casement window, while to the left there is a pair of three-light timber casements, both under timber lintels. The left-hand pair is set within original 17th-century stone surrounds. On the first floor, there are three two-light casement windows. The left and right gables feature single-storey blank lean-tos.
