Description
No 8 St Mary's Hill is an early 17th-century building that stands two storeys high with attics, constructed from coursed rubble. It features a stone slate roof with three hipped dormers that do not have glazing bars. The building has two windows in flush frames with hung sashes that include glazing bars. The upper storey extends out over the ground floor, supported by moulded brackets, and has a moulded wood cornice adorned with heavy dentils. The ground floor is made of stone and has been recently repaired, showcasing early 19th-century shop windows, one of which consists of three lights with double-hung sashes that also include glazing bars. The entrance features a plain door that is partially glazed. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 9 and 11 to 16 St Mary's Hill.
