Description
Nos 64 and 65 on St Martin's is a building dating from 1671, originally a 17th-century house with two storeys. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features two gabled bays. No 64 has a four-light mullioned window on each storey, along with two single windows to the left. No 65 has a three-light window on the upper floor and a 19th-century shop window below. There is a small window at the top of the gate, and both gables are topped with finials. No 65 includes a basement grille. The building has two centrally-recessed doors beneath a small pentice roof, with a two-light mullion window with a drip mould above. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 39 to 43, the garden wall to No 43, No 44, the wall to No 44, Nos 45 to 70, the garden wall to Nos 68 and 69, and the Burghley Almshouses.
