Description
The stables west of Hungerton Hall are a stable block and coach house built between 1782 and 1785, with alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is made of squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof with lead dressings and three red brick ridge stacks. It is designed in a U-shape and has two storeys with an eleven-bay front, where the end bays are advanced and separately hipped.
The central entrance consists of a planked door, flanked by pairs of glazing bar pivot windows, single doors, and additional windows. On the first floor, there is a single sliding sash window, and to the left, there are four 20th-century three-light metal casement windows. The advanced bays contain single oculi, and on the inner side to the left, there is an opening with planked coach doors, followed by a planked door. To the right, there are two glazing bar pivot windows and a doorway. All original openings feature segmental stone heads.
