Description

Lilac Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 18th century, with later additions from the early 19th and 20th centuries. The front is constructed of chequered red and cream brick, alongside blue lias, and has a pantile roof with a coped gable and gable stacks. It is two storeys high, with a three-bay front featuring a first-floor band and decorated eaves. A 20th-century brick porch with a partially glazed door is centrally placed. Single glazing bar sashes flank the porch, with three more windows above. The south return and the back wall are of early 18th-century blue lias. This group value listing recognises the building's contribution to the character of the area.
