Description
No. 15 Broad Street is a building dating from 1671, with elements from the earlier 18th century. It has two storeys and attics, constructed in ashlar stone, and features a stone slate roof with two hipped dormers. The building is adorned with a heavy wooden modillion eaves cornice and has two stone chimney stacks. The corners are accentuated with rusticated quoins. There are five windows, each with moulded stone surrounds and triple keystones. The door, which is located under the second window to the left, also has a similar architrave. The building stands on a plinth with moulded capping.
No. 15 Broad Street is part of a group that includes the Roman Catholic Church of St Augustine, the school, the wall and gate piers to the church, and the adjacent properties Nos 14, 15, and Nos 17 to 22.
