Description
The outhouse at Greyhound Cottages is a structure that has been repurposed from stables and dates back to the 17th century, with alterations made around 1800 and in the 20th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and red brick, featuring a pantile mansard roof with decorative eaves. The building is single storey and has a five-bay west front. To the right, there is a doorway with a plank door, and to the left, a two-light casement window, followed by another two-light casement window with shutters. There is an additional doorway beyond, also with a plank door, and another two-light casement window with shutters to the left. All openings are topped with wooden lintels. The south return wall is made of 17th-century rubble that was raised in red brick around 1800, while the rear of the building retains its 17th-century rubble construction.
