Description
Bindon House is a house built in 1760, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a colourwashed front. The roof is made of Collyweston slate and has raised stone coped gables with two ashlar gable stacks, one of which has a moulded cornice. The building has a T-plan layout and is a single storey with attics. The front has three bays and includes a first-floor band. The central entrance features a panelled door, with a three-light glazing bar casement window to the left and a two-light plain casement window to the right. Above the door, there is an ashlar datestone engraved with the initials JN, the date 1760, and a flower. The roof is adorned with three hipped dormers, each containing two-light casements with slate hung cheeks.
