Description
Sheaf Cottage is a cottage dating from circa 1700. It is constructed of red brick with a thatched roof that has been covered in corrugated iron sheeting. The cottage is single-storied with an attic. It features a dentilated brick eaves cornice and two gable brick stacks.
The east front has a central doorway that is now blocked and replaced with a small fixed window. To either side are single 20th-century casement windows set within segment-headed openings. Above, there are two gabled dormers with small sash windows. The gables have tumbled coping.
Smaller 19th and 20th-century additions exist at the rear.
The interior retains the original plan form and roof structure.
