Description
This is a house, dating to 1702 with later alterations in the late 19th century and 20th century. It is built of rendered brick with a concrete tiled roof and rendered gable stacks. The front has two storeys and five bays, showing remnants of 19th-century quoins and a high 18th-century plinth. A central doorway has a plain doorcase and plank door, above which is a plaque inscribed "JB 1702". Two plain sash windows are located to the right of the doorway, with a single plain sash window to the left. Above, there are five smaller plain sash windows. All windows have segmental heads, margin lights, and raised keystones. Inside, there is an enclosed central winder staircase and chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. A single-storey 20th-century kitchen outshut to the right is not considered to be of special interest.
