Description

This is a former house, now divided into two separate dwellings, dating from 1794, with alterations made in the early 20th century following a fire. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with a slate roof that has been slightly lowered, and features two gable stacks. It has a roughly T-shaped layout. The front façade is two storeys high and three bays wide, with a recessed central entrance featuring a six-panel door, a moulded lintel, and a plain fanlight. The entrance is set within a slightly advanced, semi-circular chamfered arched surround with a keyblock. Flanking the entrance are single Venetian windows. To the first floor, a sash window with a semi-circular head is flanked by single Venetian windows. All windows are glazing bar sashes with Gothick tracery to the heads and feature rubbed brick arches. A tall, semi-circular headed stairwell window is located on the side elevation.

Inside, a three-storey staircase with stick balusters and an open carved string is present, alongside a cellar situated beneath the stairs, semi-circular archways, and a dado rail. The interior also includes six-panel doors and shutters throughout. Decorative plasterwork depicting fruits and flowers adorns the ceiling of the front left-hand room. A large basket arch defines the former kitchen fireplace.
