Description

This is a house and shop dating from around 1830, with alterations made in the late 19th century and 20th century. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a slate roof featuring overhanging eaves supported by paired brackets. The building has two gable stacks. The front façade is two stories and three bays wide. To the left is a sash window with glazing bars, and to the right is a half-glazed door with a plain overlight, flanked by large, plain, faceted shop windows. These shop windows are surrounded by a fluted wooden pilastered surround with a moulded fascia. The first floor has two glazing bar sashes. All windows have cambered brick arches with rubbed brick detailing.
