Description

The Old Coaching House is a house dating from the late 17th century, which was refronted in the late 18th century. It features a pantile roof with raised brick coped gables and has two gable stacks. At the rear, there is an outshot beneath a catslide roof. The building is two storeys plus a garret and has a three-bay front with corbelled brick eaves. The central entrance is a 20th-century half-glazed door, flanked by single tripartite plain sashes. All ground floor openings have splayed flat brick arches. On the first floor, there is a central narrow plain sash flanked by single tripartite sashes. Inside, the house has roll moulded ceiling girders, two panelled doors, and an original plain stair.
