EWERBY AND EVEDON HAVERHOLME PARK TF 14 NW 3/26 Balustrade to Garden Front of Haverholme Priory G.V. II

Gates and screen walls to south (garden) front of Haverholme Park. 1835, by H. E. Kendall. Cast iron and limestone ashlar. A pair of low cast iron gates with slender tapering moulded verticals and Tudor arched pierced panels, square facetted styles with single flanking matching cast iron side panels. To either side are 4 long bays of limestone ashlar screen walls containing pierced Tudor arched panels with sunk spandrels and separated by octagonal piers with moulded and chamfered tops. To either end the walls run into octagonal bays with latticed ashlar bases and large single bay returns to octagonal piers.
