Description

The Bridge over Old River Slea is a Grade II listed structure built in 1893. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a single span. The bridge has rusticated voussoirs and rock-faced lower sections, with triangular cutwaters and flanking pilasters. The ashlar parapets have splayed ends, and the moulded copings end in square piers topped with ball finials. The sides of the bridge display the date 1893 and the arms of the Earls of Winchelsea. This bridge is also recognized within the parish of Ruskington.
