Description

Forge House is a late 18th-century house, altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick, rendered and has a pantiled roof with one hip and one gable. The building features a single ridge stack and a gable stack, along with a catslide roof to the rear outshut. The two-storey, three-bay front has an off-centre 19th-century panelled door within a Tudor-arched wooden surround. This is flanked by single three-light windows. Above, a similar window is present at first floor level, with two two-light windows to the right. All windows are glazing bar casements with wooden mullions and Tudor arched heads to the lights. The interior retains some chamfered girders with small run-out stops.
