Description
Kirkby Green Millhouse is a millhouse dating from the early 18th century and early 19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble with brick and ashlar dressings, topped by a pantile roof featuring a single ridge and two gable brick stacks. The building has flush ashlar quoins, brick dentilated eaves, and a plinth. It is two storeys high and has five bays. The off-centre doorway has a six-panel door flanked by single three-light glazing bar casements, all featuring brick segment heads with ashlar keystones. To the right, there is a single doorway with a panel door, followed by a two-light glazing bar casement, both with segment brick wedge lintels. Above, there are two three-light glazing bar casements, and to the right, a single two-light glazing bar casement.
