Description
Barrow Hill Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse built for the Whichcote family of Aswarby Park. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone rubble and features slate roofs with raised stone coped gables, moulded kneelers, and two pairs of gable and ridge ashlar stacks with lozenge set funnels and stepped cornices. The building has a T-plan and is a single storey plus attics with a two-bay front. The right-hand bay is slightly advanced and gabled, with a corbelled eaves course. On the left side, there is a two-light window, while the right side has a rectangular bay with a hipped ashlar roof and a three-light window. On the first floor, there is a two-light window on the right and a through eaves gabled dormer with corbels and a two-light window on the left. All windows are plain casements with chamfered mullions and surrounds.
