Description

The forge at the corner of Blacksmith Lane dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with red brick dressings and features a pantile roof with a single red brick chimney stack. The building is single storey. The south front has a single stable plank door on the right and a small margin light sash window on the left. The east front includes a small wing at the rear, which has a single plank door and a three-light casement window, both set under segmental red brick heads.
