Description
Nos 1 and 2 Hillside are a pair of houses built in 1704. They are constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and feature a pantile roof with brick coped gables and moulded ashlar kneelers. The houses have two storeys and are arranged in a two and three-bay layout.
House No 1, located to the south, has a central 20th-century panel door flanked by three-light windows on the left, a flat-headed 20th-century casement on the right, and a segment-headed sliding sash. On the upper floor, there are two three-light segment-headed 20th-century casements with a blind panel in between.
House No 2, to the north, also has a central 20th-century panel door, flanked by segment-headed sliding sashes—three-light on the left and two-light on the right. Above, there is a three-light segment-headed casement on the left and a two-light flat-headed casement on the right, with a plaque above inscribed 'I R K Anno Dom MDCQV'.
The buildings feature ashlar quoins, a brick plinth, and a first-floor band, along with two ridge stacks.
