Description
The Rectory is a house dating from the early 18th century, remodelled in the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and render, with ashlar dressings, and has a slate roof featuring four gable and two ridge stacks, along with coped gables and kneelers. The building has a double-range plan.
The north entrance front has three bays, with a slightly projecting central bay topped with a tall pediment. A gabled ashlar porch with a round-headed arched entrance is centrally positioned. The front incorporates a deep plinth, an impost band, a moulded eaves band, and rusticated quoins. The gable of the porch features a diamond plaque flanked by single wooden cross windows with iron casements and moulded ashlar surrounds. Above these are three similar windows, the central one featuring a flat hood supported on brackets. Above again are three smaller windows.
The west garden front presents three bays, featuring two ground-floor canted bay windows and three windows above, with three smaller windows above again. All windows have wooden cross casements and moulded ashlar surrounds.
