Description

Jubilee School is a building that dates back to 1850 and is now used as a village hall. It is constructed from yellow brick and features projecting quoins and ashlar dressings. The slate roof extends over the eaves and has a gable end facing the lane, adorned with decorative barge boarding and a finial. The building is single storey and consists of three bays.

The central gabled porch, which has plain barge boarding and a finial, includes ashlar imposts, an arch, and a keystone. The arch displays the inscription "Jubilee School" along with the date "1850" in the keystone. The sides of the porch have been filled in with glass panes over wooden panels, and there is a 20th-century door. On either side of the porch are blank recessed arches with ashlar imposts, keystones, and a string course. Above the porch, there is a central casement window with glazing bars and a fanned segmental head, also featuring ashlar imposts and a keystone. Similar casement windows and surrounds are present to the west and east, along with a later brick outshut and single storey extension at the rear. The building is included for its group value only.
