Description

Normanton House is a farmhouse dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of pale orange brick with ashlar dressings and slate roofs, featuring three gable chimney stacks and dentilated brick eaves. The house has a T-shaped plan. The south front has two sash windows on the ground floor, each with a flush ashlar lintel and incised keystone. Above these are two similar sash windows with matching lintels. The east front has a plain plank doorway to the left, with a plank door and overlight, and an ashlar lintel above. To the right is a sash window with glazing bars, also with an ashlar lintel. Above are two similar sash windows with matching lintels. Further along, to the north, is a single-storey outbuilding or privy, featuring a single window and a single doorway with a plank door.
