Description

The Red Bridge is a road bridge built in 1825. It is made of red brick in English and garden wall bond, with a 20th-century concrete covering at the base of the parapet and 20th-century metal railings. The bridge features three carefully constructed round arches, with the central arch being larger and higher, allowing the road to cross over the Helpringham Eau. Both ends of the bridge have curving splays that extend outward. This bridge is a fine example of its period and has remained comparatively little altered.
