Description

Number 69 is a farmhouse located on the north side of Main Road in Washingborough. It dates from the late 16th century and was remodelled in 1839. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features slate roofs, including a gable, a ridge, and a lateral brick stack. It has quions and a brick plinth and stands two storeys high.

The street front has three bays, with a central moulded doorway that has a four-centred arch, a moulded hood, and a plank door. Above the doorway are two plaques inscribed with "H.W.H" and "1839." To the left of the doorway is a four-light cavetto moulded mullion window, and to the right is a three-light cavetto moulded mullion window. Above, there is a central two-light window with a hoodmould, flanked by two single three-light windows, all featuring cavetto moulded mullions.

To the left of the farmhouse, there is a boundary wall with a central moulded and four-centred arched gateway, which likely served as the original front doorway. The east front of the building includes a single margin light sash window, a casement, and a three-light cavetto moulded mullion window. To the west, there is an early 19th-century barn with a half-hipped pantile roof.
