Description
Cornerstone is a house, formerly a house and attached cottage, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of coursed limestone rubble, topped with a concrete tile roof and features a single brick gable stack. The building is two stories high and has five bays. The central bay contains a three-light glazing bar sliding sash window, flanked by two doorways with four-panel half-glazed doors, each surrounded by wooden surrounds with pediments supported on brackets. These doorways are flanked by single three-light glazing bar sash windows. All windows have segment heads and rubble wedge lintels. Above the central bay is a three-light sliding sash, flanked by two single two-light sliding sashes, which are in turn flanked by single three-light sliding sashes, all featuring glazing bars. The rear of the building has a catslide roof.
