Description

The Ferry Boat Inn is a public house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and brick, which is now painted. The building features a pantile roof with a single ridge and two gable red brick stacks. The street-facing side is two stories high, with an off-centre doorway that has a plank door. This doorway is flanked by pairs of plain sash windows, and to the left, there is an additional pair of plain sashes. Above the doorway, there is a two-light casement window, flanked by single three-light casements, and to the left, there is another two-light casement, followed by a 20th-century two-light casement.
