Description

The Packhorse Inn is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Northgate. It is three storeys tall, constructed of red brick with a pantile roof, featuring a cornice and parapet. The building has four windows on the upper floors, which are hung sashes with glazing bars and wood shutters. The ground floor has four modern windows; two are two-light, while the others have four-light mullions and transoms. There is a stone plinth at the base, a door to the right, and a flat carriage arch to the left. The Packhorse Inn is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 9 (odd), including No 3A.
