Description

The building is a former brush factory and attached warehouse, now used as offices and a salon. It dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century, with the east range raised in the 19th century. The structure is made of brick and features hipped pantile roofs and a side wall stack.

The former factory is four storeys high and has three bays. On the south side, there is a central glazed door flanked by single sliding sash windows, all with segmental heads. Above this, there are three altered casements with wooden lintels, followed by three segment-headed sliding sashes, and then three similar windows with flat heads. The west end has a full-height cast-iron spiral staircase from the 19th century on the left, with a door on each floor, although the ground floor door is blocked. To the right, there is a two-light sliding sash window on each floor, with the ground floor window also blocked.

On the east end, there is a segment-headed door on the left, above which is a bracket lamp and a two-light casement window. Above this, there is a blocked opening, and on the top floor, there is another two-light sliding sash window.

The former warehouse is three storeys high and has four bays. On the south side, there is a segment-headed passageway and door to the left, along with three 20th-century casements with shutters. Above this, there are two casements with toplights, flanked on the right by a casement with a segmental head and another similar casement with a fanlight. Above again, there are four segment-headed sliding sashes.

The interior has not been inspected.
