Description
Danes Cottages is a row of four cottages built in the late 18th century, with some raising at the rear in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick and feature pantile roofs, which are lower pitched at the rear, and have two ridge stacks. The eaves are rebated. The cottages are three storeys high and consist of five bays.
The front of the building has a central lean-to porch, which is flanked on the left by a window, both of which are from the 20th century. On the right side, there is a half-glazed door and a glazing bar sash window. Beyond these, there are doors and glazing bar sash windows with segmental heads on either side. Above this, there is a central round-headed panel, flanked by two sashes with segmental heads on each side. Further up, there are five two-light casements, with the central one being smaller. The rear of the cottages features regular fenestration with segment-headed openings. The interior has not been inspected.
