Description
The barn at Binbrook Walk Farm is a late 18th-century structure that has been partly rebuilt in the 20th century. It features red brick construction and a pantile roof with raised brick coped gables and kneelers. The barn includes a granary above and beast houses, and it is two storeys high with central double planked doors set beneath a segmental arched head. The pent beast houses consist of eight bays, which are divided by timber posts resting on stone bases, with carved wooden kneelers supporting the wall plate. Some of the open stalls have been partially enclosed with walls or planking. The barn's roof is constructed with pegged softwood clasped purlins and massive ties. Reconstruction was carried out on the left-hand side of the barn due to damage sustained during World War II.
