Description

BINBROOK BRATS LANE TF 29 SW 2/7 Coach house and pump at Scallows Hall G.V. II

Coach house and pump. 1780 with early C19 and C20 alterations. Colour washed red brick, stucco dressings, with hipped pantile roofs having stone dressings, and single wall stack. 2 storey, single bay centre block flanked by slightly recessed single storey 3 and 4 bay blocks. Central C20 garage doors with to left a planked door with plain overlight, flanked by single glazing bar casements. To right are 2 planked doors with overlights and 2 similar windows. To first floor of centre block is a single glazing bar casement. All windows have flat stucco lintels and quoined stucco surrounds to doors. To the left of the centre block is a cast iron pump manufactured by I. Appleby & Co., Derbyshire. At the rear is an external flight of stone steps to the first floor central bay.
