Description

This lych gate, built in 1899, is located on the east side of High Street in Burgh le Marsh. It is constructed of wood and ashlar stone. The roof is bell canted, hipped, and covered with plain tiles, featuring an ashlar ridge and small gablets inscribed with the year '1899'. The eaves are sprocketed, and there is a wrought iron cross finial at the top. The structure includes two parallel, low chamfered ashlar walls that support wooden gates with iron spikes. The walls are topped with an open wooden framework that has curved braces, which supports the roof.
