Description

The Old Dispensary is a public dispensary that has been converted into a dental surgery. It was built in 1789 and features colourwashed rendered brick with a roof that is hidden behind a parapet. The building is two stories tall and has a three-bay front. The doorway is located to the left and includes a plain doorcase, an overlight, and a panelled door. To the right of the doorway, there are two glazing bar sash windows, and above, there are three more glazing bar sash windows. The dispensary was opened in 1789 with sponsorship from Sir Joseph Banks and was in use until 1866.
