It dates from the late 3rd century to the mid-4th century and is constructed from Spilsby sandstone rubble. The rubble core of the wall is visible up to 1 metre high for a length of 4.20 metres. The wall continues beneath the north wall of the garage of the Manor House on Manor House Lane, where it can be partially seen in the north-east corner. This structure is recognized as an Ancient Monument, numbered 44, and is documented in the work by Field and Hurst, pages 48-50.
