Description

The summer house at Gunby Hall is a Grade II listed structure dating from around 1800. It features a hexagonal plan and is constructed of wood and lead. The front is open-sided and topped with a domed lead roof, which is supported by fluted Doric pillars and scrolled brackets. Inside, there is seating with a planked back on three sides. This summer house was relocated from another part of the grounds and may have been designed by Elizabeth Langton Massingberd, who was an artist and amateur architect.
