Description

Park Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with reductions and alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries, along with some 20th-century changes. It is constructed of red brick in English bond, with render and a deeply hipped pantile roof, featuring a single wide axial stack with a brick band. The building likely had a 'U' plan that has been cut down, with the front wings removed.

The house is two storeys tall with a four-bay front, partly featuring a plinth. The right three bays are centrally positioned and slightly advanced. The ends are recessed and rendered where the front wings appear to have been taken away. There is an off-centre half-glazed door from the 20th century, with two glazing bar sash windows to the left and one to the right, all having segmental heads. On the first floor, there are three similar windows at the eaves and a small blocked opening above the door. At the rear, there are three small rectangular windows with wide morticed frames and small sliding sashes.

Inside, the house features chamfered girders and a bressumer. There is one chamfered and dowelled door frame with a 17th-century planked door and a timber latch, leading to a generous timber spiral staircase. The roof is constructed of larch poles, with through purlins and collars.
