Description
This cottage, located about 300 meters east of Carrington County Primary School, dates from the mid-18th century and has some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of colourwashed brick that encases mud and stud, topped with a half hipped pantile roof. A single central red brick ridge stack is present, and the eaves feature dentil detailing. The cottage has a lobby entry plan and is a single storey with three bays. The central doorway has a plank door, and on either side are single 20th-century Yorkshire sash windows. All openings are fitted with wooden lintels. To the right of the main structure, there is a lean-to with a hipped roof and a single fixed light. Carrington County Primary School is not included in this listing.
