4/44 Shaw's Mill, 25.1.74 II

Tower windmill. 1820. Red brick. Moulded brick eaves topped with remains of the cap frame. Band to top floor, broken by the openings. 3 storeys. Segmental arched doorway with plank door to the west, on the top floor is a single segmental arched 2 light casement. Doorway with plank door to south and window opening to the north, first floor. Sails lying on adjacent ground. Interior not inspected. Said to be inscribed "R. Kyme 1820" and with complete internal machinery. Source: Peter Dolman. Lincolnshire Windmills, a Contemporary Survey.
