Description

Shaw's Mill is a tower windmill built in 1820, constructed from red brick. It features moulded brick eaves and remnants of the cap frame at the top. The mill has three storeys and includes a segmental arched doorway with a plank door on the west side. On the top floor, there is a single segmental arched two-light casement window. There is also a doorway with a plank door on the south side and a window opening on the north side at the first floor. The sails are currently lying on the adjacent ground. The interior has not been inspected, but it is said to be inscribed "R. Kyme 1820" and contains complete internal machinery.
