Description

Stickney Mill is a tower windmill, dating to 1842, and now used as a store. It is constructed of tarred red brick, with an embattled parapet that was rebuilt later. The windmill rises five storeys in height. The west side features a single glazing bar casement and four Yorkshire sash windows above, with all windows having segmental arches. A plaque inscribed 'W.B. 1842' is positioned above the second-floor opening. The south and north sides have single, similar sash windows, while the east side features four similar windows stacked one above the other. No milling machinery remains within the building. It was built for William Balderston.
