Description
Gardener's Cottage and Hall Cottage is a house that has been divided into two cottages. It dates from the late 17th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of red brick and features pantile roofs with raised brick coped tumbled gables, kneelers, and a single axial stack. It has a lobby entry plan and is two storeys high with garrets. The front is irregular with three bays and a plinth. A 20th-century door is flanked by a single three-light glazing bar casement. On the first floor, there are two similar windows flanking a two-light window, and all openings have segmental heads. To the left, there is a single-storey gabled 19th-century extension that contains a 20th-century door. The interior retains chamfered beams with run-out stops.
