Description

A pair of houses dating to approximately 1860, with later 19th-century alterations, located on Spilsby Road, Boston. The houses are built of yellow stock brick in a Flemish bond pattern, topped with a hipped slate roof and ridge stacks. They have a T-shaped plan.

The front of the houses features a moulded plinth and overhanging eaves supported by moulded brackets, with plain end pilasters and a pair of central pilasters. Each house has a single, full-height canted bay window with plain sashes, pilasters, a deep fascia, and a flat lead roof. Above the bay window is a single divided sash window within an eared surround.

Number 134 has a single-storey open porch in the angle between the houses, featuring two semicircular openings with keystones and a balustraded parapet. Number 136 has a later 19th-century slate-roofed conservatory porch in the same angle, adorned with decorated wrought-iron finials and an oculus to the gablette. The interiors were not inspected.
