Description

The stables at Burton Hall date from the late 16th century and have been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. They feature a timber frame that is underbuilt and cased in brick, with a thatched roof covered in pantiles. The building is single storey with a two-bay front, which includes a 19th-century stable door and planked double garage doors. The structure consists of four bays of oak framing with earth fast posts, straight braces to the wall plate, and a clasped purlin roof.
