Description
Nos 78 and 80 Market Street is a late 18th century to early 19th century house that has been divided into two properties. It features an old tiled roof with end chimneys and stands three storeys tall. Originally, there were three windows, but the boundary between the two properties now runs through the middle of what was once a central blank window.
No 78 has a rendered facade with one window, and the western half of the former central blank window has been made flush with the facade. It has modern glazing in the original sash spaces and a modern shop front. No 80 has a red brick facade with one window and half of the central blank window. It features flat gauged brick arches above barred sashes, and like No 78, it has a modern shop front on the ground floor.
