Description
Harley House and Gate Piers is a house built in 1670, originally serving as the schoolmaster's residence, located next to a school. The structure is made of uncoursed rubble and features a main range of four bays, with a continuous string course that acts as a hoodmould for the door and windows. The central entrance is positioned against a stack. The house has 2-light mullioned windows, with casements that include margin lights. Above the doorway, there is a shaped window. The gable end of the house displays three 2-light mullioned windows and is finished with coped kneelers. The property is also marked by stone gate piers topped with ball finials.
