Description

The Old Rectory is a house built in 1837, though it may incorporate earlier fabric. The exterior is constructed of uncoursed rubble with angle quoins, and features brick gable walls. The house is two storeys high with five bays, and a central doorway set within a timber porch, which has a reeded wood surround and an overlight. The ground floor outer windows are canted bays with dentilled and moulded heads. The other windows are 16-light sashes, with stone or concrete surrounds to those on the upper floor. The roof overhangs and includes a dormer with a four-light casement, both featuring dentilled and moulded heads. The dormer and canted bays date from approximately 1890.
