Description

A house and office, dating to the 17th century with a 19th-century addition to the right. The original part of the building is timber-framed, with diagonal braces, whitewashed brick and plaster infill, and a blackened stone plinth. It features a central chimney with a small shaft of narrow brick. The house is 1½ storeys high and has two bays. On the ground floor, there is a small, old two-light window to the left, a 20th-century top-hung wooden casement in the centre, and a 20th-century paired barred wooden casement to the right. The upper storey has two-light sash windows with glazing bars in raking semi-dormers. There are two 20th-century doors. A roof truss with curved principals is exposed in the left gable. The 19th-century bay to the right is of whitewashed brick with a rendered plinth and slate roof. It has a 20th-century casement to the ground floor and a horizontal sash window above. Flanking chimneys are also present.
