Description
Ivy House is an 18th-century house located on Main Street in Snarestone. It is constructed of red brick and features brick dentilled eaves. The roof is covered with slates at the front and plain tiles at the rear, and there are end stacks. The building has two storeys with three tall two-light casement windows, each with top lights. The windows have stone sills and lintels, which include keystones. The entrance consists of a low wide six-panelled door set within a moulded doorcase, fluted frieze, and cornice. On the right end, there is a renewed attic two-light casement, while the left end has a similar window along with two additional two-light casements below. At the rear, there is a contemporary wing and a 20th-century single-storey extension, featuring casements, some of which have overlights. Ivy House forms a group with No. 24 and No. 19.
